transceiver in nrf52 dk

hey, i am strating with nrf52840 for thread.

i want to know if there is a need to add an antenna to the SoC? if not i can't visualize where is the antenna in the nrf52 DK and how it is used? is it a PCB antenna integrated directly in the nRF52840? or there is a radio module integrating nRF52840 and an antenna?

i am perplex.

Hi

Yes, you will need an antenna on the board of your nRF52 SoC. If you have a DK, you can see a PCB antenna going out from the chip to the right on the board. It is placed under the Nordic Semiconductor logo. Please see our reference circuitry as well as our circuit board guidelines for aQFN packages application note to help you out with PCB design.
