Monday: I received the 52 and upgraded the software to the latest release (2.2). Loaded the Thingy app on Android 10 on a Samsung S10 5G. Changed the name of the Thingy to "JayEm". Everything worked just fine. Lots of data for hours.
Tuesday: Works just fine. Then...
Thursday: Nothing changed. No more firmware changes nor Thingy app changes. But Thingy app refused to connect. So I deleted the Thingy profile from the Thingy app. Now a scan by the app finds nothing. I've uninstalled the app. Rebooted the phone. Cleared cache. Cleared data. Rebooted the phone, reinstalled. You get the idea! Strangely, after reinstalling, it can still find the "JayEm" device profile!
(If my memory serves me correctly, I think I tried to connect on Thursday using NFC. That may have been when the problem started. Can't be completely sure about that. Now NFC attempts result in "NFC tag found, connecting to device..." which it never does.)
Meanwhile the nRF Connect app can see the Thingy and see all its data no problem at all. I was able to change its name in the hope this might revive the Thingy App's ability to find it. Zilch!
The Phone Bluetooth screen can see it no problem too (but not connect - which was expected).
