how to transfer data at 10ms using Bluetooth by using application timer

Hi,

I am using nrf52840 controller . I need to transfer the data using Bluetooth at 10ms by using application timer and i am using SDK 15.3 version and soft device S140 and example program ble_app_blinky  (ble_peripheral) . Here the problem is i have included application timer in the ble_app_blinky. But the problem is when i added the timer program in this program the bluetooth is not advertising it is showing as fatal error and system reset is executing .

plz help me to resolve this issue.

  • Hi,

It looks like an error is detected by an APP_ERROR_CHECK(), and if you are making a release build (without DEBUG defined), the default error handler will reset the device. Can you make a debug build instead, and test with that? If you are building with Segger Embedded Studio you just select "Debug" from the build configuration drop-down. Then the error handler will instead log the file name, line number and error code so that you will know more about the error.

PS: Please use Insert -> Insert Code when inserting code to make it more readable.

  • Thanks for the reply.

Sorry for the late reply  as i was on leave .

I am using keil software , plz can you tell me how to do debug build in keil software.

  • Thanks for the reply.

I did whatever you have told.

    i got error like this

    [00]<error> app: ERROR 133 [NRF_ERROR_MODULE_ALREADY_INITIALIZED] at ..\..\..\main.c:591

    PC at: 0x00028AE9

<error> app: End of error report

can you plz tell me what's the error?

  • I cannot say without seeing the exact code you used for this test. Can you upload your main.c (exactly the one you tested) using Insert -> Insert Image/Video/File ? Then we can see which function returned NRF_ERROR_MODULE_ALREADY_INITIALIZED.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the reply .

I am hereby attaching the code.

Plz help me to resolve the issue.

  • You get NRF_ERROR_MODULE_ALREADY_INITIALIZED from the call to nrf_drv_clock_init on line 590. This is because the clock driver is initialized by the SoftDevice handler. The fix is to remove line 590-591. Or even better, you can remove the whole lfclk_request() function, since the 32.768 kHz clock is anyway always running when the SoftDevice is initialized.
