S112 advertisement after disconnect

Hi,

How does disconnect work in S112?  

In the ble_template project, I did not find anything in DISCONNECT event.

Then how does the device start advertising again?

Hi,

The ble_template project in SDK 16 uses the advertising module, and that will restart advertising when disconnected. You can see the implementation of this in <SDK>/components/ble/ble_advertising/ble_advertising.c. Upon a BLE_GAP_EVT_DISCONNECTED event, on_disconnected() is called, and that calls ble_advertising_start().

When is it being configured?  I set the breakpoint in ble_advertising_on_ble_evt () and it comes over there on disconnect event. But I could not find any instance in the entire solution where it is being configured to handle this event.

It is registered using NRF_SDH_BLE_OBSERVER from ble_advertising.h. This is done using section variables, so it might look a bit like magic if you are not used to using it.
