Reading a file from PC

Hi

I am working with nRF52832 DK, using Segger IDE. I want to read data(a file) from a computer and process the data on DK. Is there any way of doing it? Also, is it possible to copy the file from PC and paste in the corresponding project folder of nRF SDK and then read data from it?

A terminal program can read the data in the file inside the PC and transmit it through the UART COM port. The DK application can be programmed to receive this data like any other UART data.

Hi

I have connected DK to PC via USB(for power supply and downloading the code). If I want to send some data from PC to DK, do I need to use USB to UART converter and connect pins to DK and read the data with these pins? I had a look at example/peripherals/uart example. If I want to print the data received through UART, how do I do that?

You don't need any converters with DK. On your PC the DK is emulated as a COM port.open any serial terminal like putty and send data to a application onDK that is receiving data on the UART pins mentioned on the bottom of the DK

Even if I am using Debug terminal to print some NRF_LOG data, UART will parallely happen. Am I right? And also, in the UART example, where is the value received, stored? I want to process the data received.
