How to connect an nrf52 device to internet

Hi,

I am new to thread network. In my application only a few nodes, mostly one. How can I connect this one node to the internet? Assume WiFi is available.Can I use the thread protocol for this application?

You will need a Thread Border Router. The link contains a solution that uses a Raspberry Pi as the border router device.

Thank you for the reply. Raspberry pi is power hungry, considering low data-rate of my application, is there any other simple solution, like an Ethernet/WiFi module?
