nRF9160DK 0.9.0 Failed to enable GPS on samples

We are working on the GPS sample code found in the ncs\nrf\samples\nrf9160\gps folder of the nRF Connect SDK 1.1.0 tag in the repository.

The modem firmware version we are using is v1.1.1. 

On the nf9160 DK board is the gps antenna. We want to know if there is or are some configurations we have to follow to realize this, as we are stuck with the error "Failed to enable GPS" after flashing the sample code.

Hi.

The sample should work out-of-the-box without any modifications.

As the sample does not work in your case, I have attached a modified version of the sample that provides a bit more debug information in the enable_gps() function.

Can you run it, and send me the log that it provides?

We did a new git checkout and west update and as you rightly indicated the sample works out-of-the-box without any modifications.
