Limit Event monitoring SAADC

Good Day!

Statement of Problem: We use Li-Ion Battery in our application and would like to monitor a few variables such as Battery Voltage, Battery temperature & Discharge current over SAADC and set events for the parameters. 

Query: With SAADC just by setting the LIMIT registers is enough or Is it required to fire the SAADC  acquisition frequently such as using the app_timer? If it needs to be run continuously then how power efficient is this method?

From Event monitoring using limits: 
Appropriate events are generated whenever the conversion results (sampled input signals) are outside of the two defined limits.

This means that you do need trigger sampling at regular intervals. 

Alternatively you can use the LPCOMP — Low power comparator or COMP — Comparator.

Ok, 

But with LPCOM or COMP is it not having anomaly. That means it is unstable over the temperature due to I_Source is not stable?

And Is it required to trigger the LPCOMP or COMP module at regular intervals?

I believe you can use the COMP with an external voltage reference (differential mode) and not be affected by the errata. 

The LPCOMP is not affected by the faulty current source of the COMP.
