Query regarding alternatives to Automotive Qualified BLE SoCs

Hi,

We are planning to use an Automotive Grade Bluetooth SoC in one of our new designs.

Some controllers in the nRF51 family seems to be Automotive Grade, but we also see that they are not recommended for new designs. Are there any alternatives for these devices?

We hope that you will respond quickly, so that we can proceed with the proper device.

  • Hi,

Unfortunately nRF51824 is the only automotive qualified IC in our lineup. I can not find that it is officially ' not recommended for new designs', but it is an older product, does not have the lates features and is not subject to regular stack updates. For alternatives and roadmap information you should contact the Nordic Regional Sales manager who is handling your region, send me a PM if you need contact information.

    Best regards,

    Andreas
