Certification for the NRF52811-QFAA-R

Dear Nordic Team

We would like to use the following Chip device for one of our products:

NRF52811-QFAA-R

To this matter I have the following question:

1)Can you provide any certificate of conformity?

2)Does the chip meet the EU regulations of the Radio Directive Equipment (RED)?

3)Is this device CE conform?

4)Can you please provide me with the technical and legal documents of this chip?

Hi,

 

No nRF device is certified itself, it relies too much on the PCB layout and antenna design. We target global compliance for our ICs during design, and verify this both internally and externally. For your product to the compliant you need to replicate the reference layout and possibly adjust the RF components slightly. Nordic can assist with design reviews and testing if you need.

If you need a pre-certified solution you need to go for either of the 3rd party modules that feature nRF52811. Note though that there is still most likely some testing required, this might differ between modules.
