modern transceiver

Hi, I'm looking for a more modern transceiver than nRF24L01 + and that works for the same. I am looking for a low or ultra low power transceiver that allows the implementation of a communication with low cost host microcontrollers. I'm looking for a transceiver that isn't much more complicated to use than nRF24L01 +

Can you recommend a transceiver?

Hi,

The nRF24L01+ is the only pure radio transceiver. The other nRF devices are embedded with Flash, ADC, MCU and so on, in which case you don't need a third party MCU. If you are interested in a single-chip system on chip check out the nRF52832.

Hi, I don't want a bluetooth transmitter-receiver. I just want a half duplex pure radio transceiver. As a nRF24L01+ but improved (if it is possible)

The radio front-end of nRF52-series support various wireless RF PHY, e.g. Bluetooth, ANT, 802.15.11 (if nRF52840), and proprietary 2.4GHz (aka. ESB on nRF24L01+). In your case I guess this can be a good starting point:
