BLE Hello World

I have the NRF51 DK working with CrossWorks on OSX. I have the blinky example working.

Now I would like to figure out how to get very basic HELLO WORLD type demo to iOS. I am very comfortable with BLE on iOS but I am not sure what to do to get BLE demo source code for the NRF51 DK.

Can someone point me towards sample BLE NRF51 DK code?

under 'examples' in the root of the SDK (7.x) are examples of peripherals, centrals, both, neither multi protocol, DFU and ANT. The BLE peripheral HRM example is a pretty good one to start with.

I am trying "/nRF51_SDK_7.2.0_cf547b5/examples/ble_peripheral/ble_app_hrs".

After manually adding a lot of include directories to the project I end up with this error:

size of array 'BLE_EVT_BUFFER' is too large

any idea what might cause that?

Do you have a sample working CrossWorks project that you could share?

If I may suggest the ble_app_uart for the nRF51 and using the nRF UART app for iOS This way you would be able to send some basic UART commands across BLE.
