Toolchain manager app for nRF Connect for Desktop

In the "Cellular IoT development on Nordic Thingy:91" video (-> https://webinars.nordicsemi.com/cellular-iot-development-on-nordic) an nRF Connect SDK Toolchain manager app is shown within nRF Connect for Desktop v3.3.0.  However, this app appears to be an experimental version (v0.1.0, test source) not yet available to public users.

In the current public version of nRF Connect setting up the toolchain is only supported via the "Getting Started Assistant" app (and is still quite an elaborate task).

When (and how) will the "Toolchain manager" become available?

    Hi,

    You are correct that this is something we are currently developing, that is not yet available to public users.

    When the development and testing is complete, the Toolchain manager will be available in the nRF Connect desktop application.
    The exact date for when it will be released is yet to be determined, but we have indications it will be in the near future - so remember to check for updates in the coming weeks!
