SIGmesh to cloud communication

Hi,

Greetings!

One of our product requirement is that we have to upload SIGmesh network data (lamp status, temperature etc) to cloud server

Here we have to use SIGmesh-Wi-Fi device to upload data to cloud server.

This type of device should receive SIGmesh messages and through Wi-Fi it should upload data to server

However I need help on below points

1. What is the standard way of doing this?

2. Is there is example application available or any documentation?

3. Do I need to map the respective data in SIGmesh-WiFi device? say for example: for temperature Sensor reading, do I need to label it as "Master Bed Room Temperature 23C"

4. Or I can handle this at cloud level? If so what is the proper way of doing this?

Please guide on the same.

Regards,

Dinesh

  • Hi Dinesh.

There is no standard way of doing this, as this is not included in the spec. It would be up to yourself how you would like to implement a solution like this.
We don't have any examples or guides on this particular topic. But you would need one device that could receive messages from the Mesh. Either a node with both mesh and wifi support, or a node that can receive the data from a proxy node in the Mesh.

How you label and handle that data on the cloud, would depend on the cloud solution and your own implementation.

    Best regards,
    Joakim
