nRF52840 beginner support

Hello,

I never used BT modules before. I'm going to buy some bluetooth modules to add wireless to an existing board.

I need module with following characteristics:

- it should support multiple connections (8 - 10 connections are ok)

- it should be long range

- I need to manage it with external MCU (using UART)

- I whould like to use "transparent uart" beetween modules.

Is nRF52840 ok for this project?

Can I manage it using uart commands (ie AT commands)?

I need to program nRF52840 or it will be pre-programmed? (Does this depends from module manufacturer?)

Yes to most of your questions, however for AT commands you will need to contact our third party module manufacturers: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-tools/3rd-Party/3rd-party-modules

Check out the modules are the bottom that says: AT Command Modules
