The latest version of our SDK supporting the nRF51 series is nRF5 SDK v12.3.0. This is the recommended release to use with all nRF51 series devices. nRF51802 is compatible with nRF51822, although you may have to take into consideration the anomalies listed in the Product Anomaly Notification.

Yes, it supports Bluetooth 4.2. The S130 SoftDevice is a precompiled and linked binary image implementing a Bluetooth 4.2 low energy protocol stack for the nRF51 Series of SoCs.

All versions of S130 have been Bluetooth 4.2.

The first version of S110 was Bluetooth 4.0, the first version of S120 was Bluetooth 4.1, and the first version of S130 was Bluetooth 4.2.

The latest version of S110 is Bluetooth 4.1, the latest version of S120 is 4.1, and the latest version of S130 is Bluetooth 4.2.
