How to calculate cadence using gyroscope/accelerometer with nrf52

Hi,

I'm trying to understand how to powermeter bike works. I read the ant documents and execute example bpwr ant code, but I have a question how cadence in power meters are read? Using accelerometer or gyroscope? I have a mpu6050 arduino board and I want to create a homemade power meter. Anyone can help me?

This has nothing to do with ANT, BLE, or Nordic.

There are many articles on how to process sensor data to deduce things like cadence, steps, etc.  Many of them are based on AI / ML.

You need to get googling ...

I googled many times about it, but i'm not found it. I was started study because I won a nrf52dk kit and I'm cyclist

The crank arm is a rotate part and need a sensor to capture this motion? How can I do the capture motion without sensor?

by definition, a sensor is what translates an external physical thing into an electronic signal that an electronic system can process. So, yes - you need some sort of a "sensor".

There's a vast range of different "sensors" available which could fulfil this role; eg

• a simple switch which clicks once per revolution
• a rotational sensor on the axle
• an accelerometer - which gives the acceleration of a point, eg on the crank arm
• etc, etc, ...
