how nrf52840 dongle works as beacon connect to mqtt server

i already done the nrf52840 dongle that already work as beacon when i have tried in nrf beacon apps. i want the same application but now it is transmitting to server/website. how im going to do it? can someone give me suggestion? thanks a lot!

You can not use the nRF52840 alone to connect to a server/website. You'll need a chip that comes with a modem, such as the nRF9160. A solution could be to buy an nRF9160 DK (includes both nRF9160 and nRF52840) and use the LTE Sensor Gateway example to relay data from the nRF52840 dongle to a server/website.

hi, i have checked the nRF9160 and it is a bit pricey for me. is there anything else that can be used and more friendly user like esp3266 or arduino? sorry, im still new into this.

Will the Thingy:91 stay connected to the computer? Then you can use the PC as a gateway to the internet.

The only Nordic product that can connect to the internet is the nRF9160. Have you seen the Thingy:91?

If this is too expensive for you, I am sure there exist other options, but I don't have a complete overview. Try asking on some more general electronics forums, where people may have a broader overview of the different options out there.
