Can I use nordic Thingy:91 in AWS without sending data to nRF cloud. 

Can u share documents explaining more about how to connect.

The AWS Fota example helps you establish a connection to your own instance of AWS IoT Core. It looks for pending jobs, the Thingy 91 sends its firmware version to the Device Shadow and it connects to shadow Topics. Which I believe is the core functionality of AWS IoT Core.
