Can we use NRF52811 processor with NRF52832 board?

Hello,

We have a own designed NRF52832 board. If NRF52832 and NRF52811 are pin to pin, we want to use NRF52811 with NRF52832's pcb. Because, NRF52832 bluetooth range is not enough for us and we want to improve range by using NRF52811 bluetooth 5 long range feature. Is this possible or will we have to make changes on NRF52832's pcb to use it with NRF52811 processor? Do you offer any other solutions?

Hi,

 

Yes, nRF52811-QFAA can be populated in a nRF52832-QFAA board.

nRF52832-QFAA has two capacitors in the reference design, one on P0.25 and one on P0.26, that are not needed in nRF52811, so without those you might not be able to do it the other way.
