we need some advice to choose the right TX power. We still wonder if TX power +4dBm is the best choice or better use the default 0dBm.
Here is some background:
- In our embedded device, we are using Nordic nRF52832 and nRF5 SDK v16.0.0 and we use a custom designed BLE antenna.
- BLE power or device power consumption doesn't matter in our Szenarios.
- We also made some indoor field tests with both 0dBm and +4dBm TX power and we didn't see any differences between them.
- All of our use cases works fine in both TX power adjustments.
- Currently we are using +4dBm and even the antenna design is optimized for this.
We found the default value 0dBm in all the Nordic examples and also in DTM. Is there is reason for that? Or could we even get into trouble if we run the certifications using +4dBm?
For further ideas or suggestions from nordic's side we would be grateful.
