Advertising rename feature not working

Hello,

I am reporting here an issue that I detected by using NRF connect on iOS (cf https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/IOS-nRF-Connect/issues/56)
The issue is that the iOS mobile app renames the advertising name before rebooting to bootloader, and apparently it fails, see this comment : https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/IOS-nRF-Connect/issues/56#issuecomment-608979797

I would like to understand why the renaming fails.

I am using :
Board : NRF52811
Softdevice : s112 v7.0.1
SDK : 16.0.0
I have not modified anything on bootloader.

(when disabling "Alternative Advertising mode" in NRF Connect on iOS, the DFU works correctly. It's also OK on Android)

Are you initializing the SVCI interface at the beginning of your main() function as in the buttonless template example?

    // Initialize the async SVCI interface to bootloader before any interrupts are enabled.

    APP_ERROR_CHECK(err_code);

Changing the advertisement is optional, but is often used with iOS because core Bluetooth doesn't let you specify an address to connect to.

Should this be in the booloader or the app ?
