USBD and nrf5340 QKAAAB 1940

Hello, I m developing a device based on nrf5340. On the ERRATA is reported that USBD is not working on QKAA-AB0.

I suppose QKAAAB 1940 is not working too, when do you think to release a version supporting USBD?

I m planning to run the nrf5340 in Normal Voltage Mode power suppling 1.8V in VDD and VDDH. When USBD will work do I need to connect VDDH to VBUS or it will be possible to operate with VDDH at 1.8V and VBUS at 5V?

Hi 

Sorry for the slow response guys. The USBD interface will be added to the next hardware revision of the nRF5340, which is the first proper "non preview" version of the device. 

We will have samples and devkits available for this part in August this year, and it will be available in volume some months later.

Hello, I developed some prototypes they seem to work. But on manufacturing the pcb, the VDD pin E31 has been not connected to VDD 1.8V. Is it possible to know if the missing E31 VDD it's compromising RF part performance in the CHIP? I m using external 32MHz xo

Hi 

We don't test the device with any of the VDD pins missing, so we can't really say what might happen in this case.  

It's not unthinkable that it will affect RF performance though, so if you are planning to send your prototypes for RF testing I would strongly recommend making a new version with this corrected. 

You also have to fix it before going to mass production obviously, but if your prototypes appear to work they might be usable for general development and debugging purposes.
