Audio over BLE : LE Audio supported / necessary ?

Hi,

A couple of months ago, the Bluetooth SIG published a specification for LE Audio : a new codec and method to send audio data through BLE 5 connection.

Is there an implementation ready for the nRF52 ?

I saw this article : https://www.nordicsemi.com/News/2020/01/Nordic-launches-a-Bluetooth-LE-Audio-Evaluation-Platform

Have the eval board devices been released ?

Is there an alternate way to transfer audio data through BLE without using LE Audio ? I saw it was implemented mentions about it being used in the Smart Remote project. Do you have any information ?

No, this is not released yet.

For more information regarding the Smart Remote project, please read the documentation. This project does not use BLE Audio but Audio over BLE.

    Kind regards,
