Suggestion - Modem trace to Wireshark "shim"

As I'm working on debugging a problem where a TLS connection silently fails with no error code, it occurs to me that it would be VERY handy to have a way to connect wireshark to the modem trace, and see all the packets inbound and outbound from the modem. I don't think such a tool exists, but it would be a huge benefit if it did.

Could you please consider making such a tool and releasing it? It would be tremendously helpful, and would probably reduce your support load as it would enable developers to see for themselves what was going wrong.

To be clear, I know you can't give us everything that the modem trace produces, because it would give the carriers fits, but knowing just what's sent and received would be really handy.

A wireshark live parser of the modem trace would be a very good debug tool.

I'll bring this idea to our product management team so they can have a look.

Any progress on this one?

I have for instance an issue now, and i need to produce a modem trace and send it to you and wait. Seems like a waste of waiting if I could look myself.

Sorry, no news yet, but its being looked at. I am afraid I have no more information at this point in time.

If you create a new private ticket, we can look at the traces if you tell us which modem fw you're using and convert it to a pcap.
