What is the purpose of the QWR module in the peripherals\ble_app_uart example?

Hello, I am studying the subject example project to understand how to create my own characteristics and adapt the project for our application.

What is the purpose of the QWR module in this function?  It's interaction with the rest of the code is complex, and I can't quite get a bead on what it's doing.  I'm not sure if I should keep it or remove it?

I notice that the ble_app_template project does *not* have it, so does it process data for the UART?

What is the purpose of the QWR module in this function?

The Queued Writes module provides an implementation of Queued Writes, using the Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) Server interface of the SoftDevice. Add this module to your GATT server implementation to enable support for Queued Writes for some or all of the characteristics. A GATT client can then write to these characteristics using a series of commands.

I am sorry, Amanda, but I can't see that you have answered the question. You do only explain what QWR is, but the question - why is QWR required in the UART example - you have not addressed at all. Can you elaborate on that , please?

Is it used when the incoming data is larger than the MTU (247), but how to expand it in the NUS example?
