Using Android device as "Edge Router" to BLE IPv6 connected IoT devices (nRF51 IoT SDK)

Hi,

I am interested in your nRF51 IoT SDK, IoT SDK for applications using IPv6 over Bluetooth Smart.

The presentation www.youtube.com/watch describes an architecture with an "Edge Router" that talks to the BLE IPv6 connected IoT devices running on one side, and to the Internet, through wifi, Cellular, Ethernet, etc, on the other side. In your development kit you use a Raspberry Pi as Edge Router.

I have two questions:

  1. If we want to use an Android device as "Edge Router" are you aware of, or provide yourself, any Android SW, ideally an installable app, which can provide the routing between Internet and BLE IPv6 profile?

  2. As far as I understand DTLS is not yet supported by your nRF51 IoT SDK. Is that planned?
