FreeRtos on NRF53

Hi,

I downloaded the latest NRF Connect SDK. I can compile the zepher projects, but I am not interested in using zepher.

I want to use SES as that is what we have grown accustomed to. Is there a way to port over some sample code to SES?

I am also interested in using FreeRTOS on the NRF53. Is there going to be support for this?

Hi.

You can use SES to build nRF Connect SDK (NCS) projects, so you don't have to give up SES to use NCS.

While we only support NCS on the nRF53, you don't have to use NCS.

The nRF Bluetooth LE Controller is RTOS-agnostic, so you should be able to integrate it with your RTOS of choice. However, as the name implies, it is only a BLE controller, which means that you will have to use a separate BLE host.

In NCS we are using Zephyr's BLE host, which you obviously won't be able to if you are using FreeRTOS instead.

The link points to the master branch, where the nRF BLE Controller has changed name to 'SoftDevice Controller'.
