Setting up an Segger Embedded Studio on VM

Hi

I have developed a code on Windows using the Segger IDE.

I'm looking for a solution to build an the firmware on the Linux VM to automate the build process to generate the .hex files

I have  been trying to install the Segger IDE on VM but every time i try to install  the error popup "Setup: cannot connect to X server"

Since i cannot connect to display on VM , is there a way to install the IDE on VM so that i can build the firmware 

if not possible can someone suggest best appropriate tool and procedure to build the firmware

 This is supposed to ask Segger support, and they are available there.
