Mesh and APP_TIMER_V2?

Is APP_TIMER_V2 supported by Mesh SDK 4.1?
According to this forum, v2 should fix all sorts of issues related to v1. But it seems that app_timer_mesh.c is only partially compatible with app_timer v2, even in Mesh SDK 4.1. So, which version should be used?

Hi!

App_timer_mesh.c is a very important component of the mesh stack, as it is used for stack-wide timing. 
The app timer v2 cannot coexist with mesh app timer because both use the same RTC peripheral. We have not tested app timer v2 with the mesh stack and therefore app timer mesh should be not be replaced with app timer v2.

It might be added in the future, but I really don't have much information about the roadmap.
You should direct questions about future releases and roadmap to the RSM for your area.
