License of iOS Blinky APP

Hi all,

On the iOS version of the Blinky APP, there is a statement

but does not state any licensing agreements like the android counterpart does. Does this iOS app fall under the nRF52 SDK license?

Hi,

First of all, the iOS Blinky app is legacy, so if you want to build on something modern you should look at Sample application: nRF BLINKY instead, which demonstrates the Core Bluetooth Mock library.

Regarding the license, the license text in the files you refer to is incomplete, since it shows the license text automatically inserted by Xcode. The correct license is the  BSD-3, which is used for all mobile apps we provide except nRF Connect. See this post for details.
