IMEI registration with Verizon

Hi,

Please help to explain the “onboarding” process of nRF9160 SIP (via its IMEI) used in our product . — For example in production we buy 500 nRF9160 SIP’s  from Nordic for soldering onto our products .
Who at Nordic will provide us the list of these 500 IMEI’s?  (or we just read them from AT command for each board and create the list ourselves )?
Which Verizon website to send to & register the list of these 500 IMEI’s ?
 — In production, We will pre-insert Verizon eSIM into Sim Holder inside the product . (ie Our customers won’t have access to the sim holder nor can swap/use another eSIM) . Please describe the process to register at Verizon  the ICCID of the eSIM used/paired with its nRF9160 IMEI in each product.
P/S: We did send similar email to Kristian ([email protected]) and Sly, Michael ([email protected])
 Thanks
Viet Nguyen

  • Hi!

For the Verizon registration, you either contact somebody in sales or make a Private ticket on DevZone, and Nordic will register the IMEI's for you.

When purchasing the nRF9160 SiP's, I'm not sure what the process is like. I would see what Kristian has to say.

To give you more information on the Verizon certification process, please confirm you have signed an NDA with Verizon Wireless.

    Best regards,

    Heidi

  • Hi Heidi,

Yes we have signed NDA with Verizon but we are not asking about Verizon CERTIFICATION process.  We need more, clear info on IMEI registration when buying production parts so I’m going to repost my earlier questions (see below) for Michael Sly and Kristian to clarify and confirm what to do for production.
