Which SDK to use for 52840?

Hi!

We are in the start up phase of an interesting project containing your products. 

Some info about the system: 
* It contains multiple 52840 and 9160
* Time correctness is of importance
* Communication is LTE-M, Thread and BLE
* Your support is very important to the customer who develops the application for this system
* We want the same SDK in all MCUs. 

As we have understood it you released a version of Connect SDK with support for the 52840 as of 2nd of April, but can't find much info about it. 

* Between Connect SDK and Zephyr RTOS, which one is to prefer for 52840?
* Is 52840 fully supported in Connect SDK?
* Would you recommend us using the Connect SDK for this system, is it mature enough?
* Would it be a wiser choice to go for Zephyr RTOS with OpenThread for this system?

Hello,

Support for the nRF52-series in the nRF Connect SDK have started for development:
https://www.nordicsemi.com/News/2020/04/Nordic-now-offering-support-for-its-shortrange-and-cellular-IoT-devices-on-nRF-Connect-platform

However the feature support is still limited, and I don't expect you will have support for thread until late Q3. But if you need the same development environment for nRF52 and nRF91, then you likely will need to focus mostly on the nRF91 development for now.

The nRF Connect SDK (NCS) include zephyr RTOS, and you can use the nRF Connect SDK for all nRF development.

I expect during this year many will transition to nRF Connect SDK unless they have already invested much code base on the previous nRF5 SDK. You can check out NCS here:
