Why got the problem of frequency offset, when use old nRF52832 DTM SDK

Hi All,

We met a problem when we update the DTM SDK.

The conditions:

1. Same hardware

2. Use official nRF52832 Development board.

A. Old DTM SDK

SDK version: cannot check the SDK version number, only have the hex download date: March 5th, 2018

Frequency offset: +245 kHz. Abnormal one.

B. New DTM SDK

SDK version: nRF5_SDK_16.0.0_98a08e2

The frequency offset: -8.5 kHz. Normal one.

The question is that why the frequency offset is abnormal when use the old SDK?

Hi,

 

There was a bug in the old SDK that the DTX setting in the MODECNF0 register was set to modulated 1 instead of center. Change this, then it should be equal.
