We have a situation where a device might have a sim card field installed, and sometimes, depending on the vendor, the APN settings might need to get changed.
Is there a standard way to determine the vendor of the SIM card without having to first make an internet connection? I.e. is there something you can read from the card that say this card is issued by AT&T or Hologram, or iBasis, or whoever?
Setting the APN settings at runtime is trivial, knowing whether to set them, and to what value turns out to be tricky.
