nrf52 development board

Hello, I want to purchase an nrf52 development board. I am currently using nrf52832 module (MDBT42). I wonder which DK should I purchase nrf52832 DK or nrf52840 DK? I am asking in terms of technical support and if I use a different microcontroller e.g. nrf52840, can I be able to use nrf52832 DK to write firmware and also program it using DK's programmer. 

This is just for getting your suggestions which DK you would purchase for nrf52832 and 840.

Hi,

  my suggestion is nRF52840 DK. because 840 controller have more advantage than 832. refer the product specifications. DK will have J-Link for programming. Now how you are programming the MDBT42 board. In nRF52 series my preferences in 840DK

I have designed a board with mdbt42 but I have not got it yet. I thought of using nrf528 DK for programming it. OK, so you prefer 840 DK. It can be used for developing firmware for 832. Correct? Actually I use nrf52840 and 832 both microcontrollers, so I want to have a single DK that can develop firmware and program both.

Yes, If you bought nrf52840 DK you can use it for programming 832. my another suggestion is. If the nrf52840 SOC. have some advantage compare to 832. you have to see the product spec compare it. and buy perfect DK.
