ipv6_coap_client vs nRF51822-EK

Is it possible to launch ipv6_coap_client on nRF51822-EK?

I have modified preproccessor simbols adding BOARD_PCA10001 instead of BOARD_PCA10028. Also I modified part concerning of LED in pca10001.h

Comment out all code where there are LED_THREE and LED_FOUR. See main.c

Target settings

It builds without errors but advertising does not work. What I need to do yet? Or is it not possible to use nrf51822-Ek?

@Mihail: have you tried to reduce the RAM1 size to 0x2000? The chip on the Ek is XLR2 (or XLR1) and doesn't have 32kB of RAM.

I can't build with 0x2000. Error about there is not enough memory. I have changed to 0x4000. it is 16kB. default is 0x6000 for this project.

@Mihail: The stack occupies 8kB already, so you only have 8kB left for application if you use 16kB version. I'm seeing here after compiled the RAM required is about 11kB. You can get 2kB less by setting heap size to 0. But still it won't fit into the 16kB chip out of the box. Some optimization& modification needed.

How to check how much the RAM is required?

I set 0x2000 to IRAM1 size and build. Log contains this line

._build\nrf51422_xxac_s1xx_iot.axf: Error: L6407E: Sections of aggregate size 0x228 bytes could not fit into .ANY selector(s).

So How I understand I need 0x228 bytes yet. Could you suggest something how to get it :)?
