nRF9160 EMC tests

Hi,

We developed a medical device based on the nRF9160 chip and we would like to do the EMC test for qualification. Does Nordic provide any examples or support for the firmware to be used during the tests? I saw that for other ICs you have some examples.

Hi Sebastian,

Please use the at_client sample, (Documentation) which enables the user to use an external computer or MCU to send AT commands to the LTE-M/Nb-IoT modem of the nrf9160 device. All the supported AT-Commands are referenced in the AT Command Manual.

You see that you can utilize the %XRFTEST command in different ways to test out your device.

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the reply, it was really helpful.

I want to comeback with an additional question: we want to use the product in the EU and Singapore mainly (US as well, as a second step) and I'm not sure what directives we should follow for the certification. Both in Singapore and EU, the RED directive should be followed from what I read. But then on the pages you indicated, the nRF9160 is said to be designed to meet the 3GPP TS 36.101 specification. Are the two independent or should we only test for one?
