pc-ble-driver : h5_decode error, code: 0x802c, H5 error count: 1

Hi:

I am trying to get continuous notifications using pc-ble-driver with 52840 dongle  from a Nordic NUS board. I set the MTU size to 240. After getting 9 notifications, the dongle crashes I heard windows disconnect and reconnect the device.  

I tried the nrf52840 DK. Similar problem. But after 9 packets the device didn't reconnect, instead I got this error message.

Error: h5_decode error, code: 0x802c, H5 error count: 1. raw packet: c0 f8 2e 02 d8 02 39 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0f 00 01 14 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 c0

After I changed my MTU size to 23, the device didnt crash. However, my application needs MTU size to be 240.

The soft device version is 6.1.1 and connectivity is v6.

Could you help me solve the issue?

Hi Dayi, 

You can test with the FW which is posted by Jørgen here. The "External LF crystal" version (200505_ble_connectivity_s140_usb_hci_pca10056_lfxo_mergedsoftdevice.hex ) should work for the Dongle.

I've exactly the same problem with the dongle, also the DK board does not work, getting different errors with the latest firmware.

I use ubuntu 22.04, sniffer version 4.04, firmware version 4.1.1
