AGPS refresh intervals

I'm running on a custom board with mfw-1.2.0 and ncs-1.2.0. 

AFAICS, it seems that the unit requests AGPS data on startup, but when taking positions every 5th minute, it doesn't request new AGPS data. This seems logical, but is this behaviour expected?

 Yes.

The modem will only request more data when the old has gone stale.

With fixes every 5 minutes, that has not happened yet, so there is no need for fresh A-GPS data.
