Flashing the code on the external PCB with Nordic nrf52840 SoC without using PDK

We are looking for the ways using which we can program the nrf52840 SoC without using PDK. We want to set up an automatic programming jig and for that using the PDK is not suitable option. Kindly let me know possible alternatives for the same.
