NRF52: Permanently disabling Bluetooth for certification

Hi,

we are working with Nrf52 and do not need/use Bluetooth, i.e. our devices will not have the Softdevice stack installed.

I was informed that for the radio certification process all the radios that can't be permanently disabled (via hardware, fuses, OTP firmware, ...) must be turned-on and managed.

Any ideas how I can either enable & manage Bluetooth without Softdevice for the certification process, or better, disable it permanently somehow?

Not sure if I understand; 

Are you going through BT SIG certification when you are not using BLE or have the Softdevice on your device?
If you are not planning to use BLE you don't need the Bluetooth SIG certification.

Hi,

sorry I meant EMC certification and not radio certification. As I said I do not use Bluetooth at all (i.e. no Softdevice), but for this process all radios have to be turned on. 

In the meantime I had a look at the so called "Radio Test Example" that allows to enable Bluetooth transmission and reception without Softdevice. I think I'll integrate this example in my test firmware for the EMC certification.

You are correct, the Radio Test Example should be a good choice for you.
