Differernce in Nrf52 DK versions

Hello,

I have 3 different nRF52 DK eval boards versions

1. PCA10040 , 1.1.0.           2016.16

2. PCA10040 , 1.2.4.           2019.5

3. PCA10040 , 2.0.0.           2020.8 

When I try to measure the current in boards 1 and 3 , they read varied values on same firmware flashed. (1) at ~3mA average current and with (3) ~49mA

What are the differences? I have cut the SB9 in order to measure the current.

I see the board components seem to have a difference, where can i find the schematics of these board implementation?

I measured current using nrf power profiler kit

Hi,

I measured the current consumption with the PPK with a V2 and V1 board. As you see the result is similar.

Attached herewith the screenshots of the same. 

All three cases I had cut the SB9 and used the power profiler. Could there be any damage while removing the short or other short? What else I could check?

Hi,

Is the solder bridge from the SB9 cut properly? Does the kit function correctly i.e if you flash the blinky example from the SDK, does it work? What current do you measure if you flash the blinky example from the SDK on the board? What supply have you used earlier when you've tested the board? I'm suspecting that the board might be damaged.

This behavior is observed even with other firmware! Looks like this particular board is damaged.
