UART and Mesh together with 2 dev kits

Hi ,

SDK : 16.0.0.,Mesh V4.0 ,PCA10040

My project requirement is : I need to use 2 dev kits one as a server and one as a client communicating each other on BLE Mesh

In one board I will be interfacing a sensor on UART(Hardwired Sensor) and with the other board I will be sending commands over BLE Mesh to get the sensor data from board 1 (Button Press events/UART Terminal).

So my question is which code from the SDK shall I use for this purpose.

Hi Gecko, 

You can use app_uart (or app_uart_fifo) to interface with UART. 

I attached here an example I used app_uart_fifo to print out logging using UART. It's for SDK v4.0.0

are you suggesting you this code on both devices. ?

as I already mentioned I want server and client functionalities on 2 different boards.

My suggestion is to use light switch example (which have the code for client board and server board) and implement app_uart in these examples to have UART communication.

okay so above attached code from you is of server,in which you have implemented UART functionality,right ? similarly I should implement functionality for client too ?
