nRF52840 radio - is TIFS enforced between two packets transmitted back-to-back?

Hi,

When I read about interframe spacing in the product spec (https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fps_nrf52840%2Fradio.html&cp=4_0_0_5_19_8&anchor=ifs) I get the impression that the TIFS is only enforced between a received packet and a transmitted packet. But what about two packets transmitted back-to-back? Will the radio enforce TIFS in this case as well?

Hi Björn,

It is not specifically limited to switching between Tx/Rx (turn around). The limitation is specifically (from the Product Specification): "TIFS is only enforced if END_DISABLE and DISABLED_TXEN or END_DISABLE and DISABLED_RXEN shortcuts are enabled.". So depending on if you use the radio in this way or not, it may be enforced also when transmitting packets consecutive packets.
