I am using 51822 PCA10000 dongle based nRF BLE sniffer to analyse packet exachange between my product and central devices. When I set filter to the mac address of my product device to capture the advertisement and connection with central device, I am able to capture all the packets with an iPhone4s central. But when I use a nexus device (lollipop based), I see that the the sniffer captures only the advertisement packets and the connection establishment packets and post-connection packets are not captured. The product forms connection with the nexus device as expected. This means that the sniffer is not going to other channels correctly.
I am using sniffer version 1.0.1_1111. I looked at devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../ ; it appears to be related to an older sniffer version.
- Any solution for this?
- Is there a way to know on which channel the connection procedure happens?
- Is there any way to fix the sniffer channel?
- Are there any packets (channel map?) from the central that can confuse the sniffer about the channel hop sequence?
