Unable to reconnect bonded device in nRF Connect (desktop) 3.4.0

Hello,

I recently updated nRF Connect to version 3.4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy). I'm observing, that the tool is not able to reconnect to a peripheral that was previous bonded (LESC; just works) with the same application.

To reproduce:

- Delete bond information

- Connect to peripheral

- Pair with LESC and Perform Bonding

- Disconnect

- Connect to peripheral again

You will receive an error message "Device disconnected; Cannot read property 'find' of undefined".

Please find attached a log file of the nRF Connect application.

best regards,

Torsten

  • Hello,

I see that this is a known issue with our nRF Connect for Desktop team. LESC bonding can't reconnect properly, with a bit different error messages depending on the version that is used. It looks like the fix is not yet in the roadmap (not scheduled). The good news is that this should work with nRF Connect for iOS/Android, and in Windows BLE, so the bug is related to the nRF Connect for Desktop part, and not the softdevice/nRF.

I am sorry. Is it possible to use the mobile app for development?

    Best regards,

    Edvin
