high speed settings for nrf52832

I have project with nrf52832.

every second, i want send 11k byte data from nrf52832 to android app, but it is loss data. (i used phone ble 4.2  loss about 1-2% packet)

(every 16ms, i will send buffer 176 byte to andoid app)

I have read some documents to optimize it but it still fails

Any advice for me?

  • Hi,

Could you post the code you use to transmit the data? Data loss usually means that there is a problem with the way it's implemented in the app code. Also, keep in mind that not all phones will support >11kB/s so the application needs to take that into account.

I've made an example to test notification throughput that you may be interested in trying to see if you can get >11kB/s with your phone. You can find it here: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/61560/stopping-the-nrf52832-uart-sample (note the correction in the accepted answer)

    every 16ms, i send 176 byte.

i tesed with samsung a50s and samsung note 8 have support ble 5.0
    it is still loss packet

  • It looks like you are ignoring the return value from ble_nus_data_send() so you won't know if the notification packet got added to the Softdevice's output queue or not. The data will only be sent if the function returns NRF_SUCCESS.

i must resend data when function ble_nus_data_send not return NRF_SUCCESS?

  • Yes, correct. You need to resend the data if it didn't return NRF_SUCCESS
