No programmer shows up on COM ports after connecting to PC

Hello, 

I'm trying to program an nrf52 PCB I created from Arduino and code studio just trying to upload a simple blink but when ever I try to connect any of my ST-link-V2 dongle/ST Link V2/ J-Link all seem to appear under the USB controllers tab instead of the usual COM tab as seen here:

and I believe this wont let me program the board.

In addition to that all devices been through zadig formatting/update tool and ST link upgrade tool for a firmware update.

Any idea why that is?

You need to install the driver for that.  It can't program using COM port unless you already have a uart bootloader.  If you are using an older Windows, COM port doesn't t install neither.  You need to install driver provided by the manufacturer.
