Using SDK16 or SDK17 FDS module into SDK11 based application

Hi All,

My one of the old application is based on SDK11 and i found some issue data corruption with FDS module. After reading some post here regarding FDS issues and also get suggestion from Nordic to use latest FDS module from latest SDK will be helpful to avoid many issues of data corruption with FDS.

Can anybody help me to use latest SDK16/17 FDS files to use into SDK11 based application? I know fully migration is not possible but only important changes of FDS if I can use then it will be very helpful.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't migrate it for you but I can suggest reading the migration guides which is included in every major SDK release. Such as this one. Every needed change is summarized in those notes.  I recommend using SDK 17 instead of 16 :)

Hi Jared,

I don't want anybody do it for me. actually I have to migrate from SDK11 to SDK17 which is very long path and I have tried 

but lots of errors and dependency on some files. So if possible I can change my SDK11 based FDS module by considering only important changes of FDS then it will be good for me.

Maybe it would be easier to just rewrite your application in SDK 17 instead of trying to migrate it? Also this is an important errata that was fixed in SDK 12.

Thanks Jared for suggestion but unfortunately there are already devices in field with SDK11 and I want to update latest FDS changes in same SDK11 based application for DFU on it and it is possible with SDK11 only as SDK17 is not compatible with SDK11.

Any further suggestion?
